So my dear friend of 20+ years, Francesca (formerly of Three Bay B Chicks), has done it again.
She (along with some other great ladies) has gone and created a media group, Moxie Media. This media group is unique, in that it's comprised solely of women bloggers.
And to celebrate its birth, "Moxie Mona" is making the trek, beginning today, across country.
Mona is traveling the U.S. to experience the life of some women bloggers, and where they live.

So, naturally, Fran thought that Mona needed to see a little about my glamorous life here in sunny CA.
I thought about some of the famed scenery here in the Bay Area I could show Mona. You know, the Golden Gate, the Redwoods, the cable cars, Napa Valley, the Pacific Ocean....
But then I thought...nah.
I decided to show Mona a side of California never seen before. My exciting day-to-day life.
First, however, a little business. Here's the way Mona looked when she arrived.

Hmmm. She's cute, I suppose. Definitely has a great figure. I just wasn't sure she was dressed appropriately for life in the carpool lane. (I'm a pretty conservative girl, you know.)

Much better. Now she's dressed for playdates. Mona was thrilled to get a little glimpse of my daily life. Here's a little bit of what she saw.
How about the view from my car of the elementary school parking lot?

Or the view from my car of Riley's piano teacher's driveway?

(Sorry, Mona. If you're going to hang out with me you're going to be spending some quality time in the car.)
And the excitement doesn't stop once we get home.
There's homework to help with.

And baths to supervise.

And then there was soccer and dinner and soccer and bedtime and drums and soccer and laundry and cleaning and groceries and soccer and dishes. Oh, and soccer.
It was a busy week. I think Mona had fun and realized life in California truly is glamorous.
(Wow, and I had no idea this was happening. How embarrassing for Mona...checking Facebook while the kids are bathing. That never happens on my watch, I assure you.)

Go visit Fran's new site, Mayhem and Moxie, along with the other great sites listed above, to follow Mona across country. I'm sure she'll have a lot of interesting stories to tell....

I LOVE the dress you put her in! So cute and really excentuated her beautiful eyes. ;)
Boy, that Mona girl sure gets around, doesn't she? Who knew?
Frankly, I am surprised that she didn't offer to help you with all that driving or make dinner for you, but I guess she didn't want to ruin her lovely new dress!
Mona looks angry I think she thought you would do coffee or at least lunch.
Very cute pix of Mona. For the first time ever there was a floating "do you want to take a survey?" thingie floating on your website. Did Mona bring that pop-up with her? LOL!
Mona looks so chic! Mine is still a bit slutty.
OMG I was totally thinking of making Mona a dress but never got around to it! I LOVE it!! I had to LOL at the look on your daughter's face! Too cute! Great post! I'm a new follower so I can find you again! :)
Wow I had an inkling that California life was glamorous, but I never knew just how much until now. Love Mona's dress, now why didn't I think of that?

I'm one of the Moxie Members and I loved peeking into your life - it sounds very familiar to my own Trenches!
First of all, Moxie Mona's dress is so cute. I love how you put this post together.....seeing a glimpse of everyday life in CA made me smile since mine is the same way. :)
this was fabulous! I loved her dress.
this was a cute idea with Mona visiting fellow bloggers and their glamorous lifes; and what a glamorous life you live, the envy of many (I'd trade places in a heart beat); cute dress for her too; we do need to keep her a bit modest I say
I'm thinking she'll definitely want to come back and visit you again after her scintillating visit :)

Very smart little shift, Mona.
Funny post. Mona's dropping by my place tomorrow and there isn't a shift in sight...
Lol. I dunno how Mona feels about that dress. She seems a bit frowny to me!
I am loving this trip with Mona. I'm finding all kinds of new blogs. I'm so glad you dressed her more appropriately. I was becoming worried that she was maybe a bit slutty for my tastes.
How cute! I love the picture of her with your daughter in the bath - so precious!
I LOVE Mona's new dress! It gives her a whole new, fresh look!
Adorable! She looks fabulous in that dress- ready to host a bake sale!
Good job representing Cali!
Has it really been 20+ years? That makes us sound somewhat old. :)
Absolutely adore that Mona was outfitted in something fabulous upon arriving to your home. Your sewing abilities never cease to amaze me. If I come for another visit soon, can I get something equally as wonderful?
xoxo
I love how your son seems oblivious of the gorgeous Mona standing near his head while he does his homework.
I like that you put that dress on her :)
