The Formula.

I almost hate to say this out loud (for fear it will disrupt my mojo) but lately I have really been productive:
My laundry is under control, the bathrooms are acceptably clean, the floors are vacuumed, the furniture dusted...and I even mopped yesterday!
{I hate to mop. With a passion. I avoid it at all costs.}

I'm sure the house will be back to its usual state of chaos tomorrow, since the kids will be home from school.

But I've even managed to do a little sewing lately.
I really enjoy it so much.
Isn't it amazing how finding time to do a bit of something you love can really make doing things you don't love (m-o-p-p-i-n-g) a little more bearable.

Tooth fairy houses. Complete with a pocket to hold the tooth.
So cute, huh?
(Inspired by little bit funky - go check her out.)
Plus a few new clippies and t-shirts that I'll hopefully put in my shop soon.

So what is it *you* love to do?
What makes your chores a little less of a chore?

{And in the interest of full disclosure I should say that sewing + a Diet Coke is my magic formula. With maybe some chocolate. And my Dave Matthews station on Pandora. And my warm wool socks. OK, I'm done.}

Those are beyond cute!!!
Scrapbooking makes me happy. I love coming home from one of my weekends and showing the family what I did. They dig it too. Now if only I could figure out how to get more of it done without going away for the weekend.

those tooth pillows are adorable! very talented, creative you are!

good for you for getting those chores under control too

I stretched out my chores so I do something every day so it doesn't seem overwhelming (but I have that "luxury" since kids are grown, that is something sometimes hard to plan with young ones around)

but chocolate always is a good motivator!

Love the tooth fairy holder could of used that many moons ago. I got caught so many times searching under the pillow for tiny teeth. Coming to you from Fifty Factor. Your pictures are amazing.

I'm in love with that tooth fairy house with the bird on it! :)

I clean but only because I have to. I love being lazy. Painting, music, and coffee with a piece of cake or cookies sounds good to me.

Okay those are so super cute that I have to make one too! I think they're cute because of the gorgeous fabric. Love it! Reading to my boys makes me happy. They could sit and listen to stories forever. I love that! Oh and I love Coke, the full fat version. Wish I didn't. Okay and I have to admit I get a little cranky if I can't get the boys to the park, I actually like going too. It keeps me sane! Happy Day off!

Your tooth fairy houses are adorable!! So cute! I really wish I knew how to sew. I think I will learn one of these days.

I read your post last night and was thinking about what I love that makes me happy. My answer is a lot of things, but most of all right now, is a great nap day, when both my kids nap the same amount of time, long enough for me to get stuff done AND do something for ME. :)

I don't like anything 'kitchen-ey'. Dishes. Cooking. Cleaning. Sweeping. Scrubbing and putting away chicken eggs. I don't like anything in the kitchen. My hubby installed an under-cabinet CD player for me so that I can listen to books on tape whenever I'm in there. It helps so much. When I have a good book going, I do the chores in there more thoroughly and even find myself sweeping (and mopping) just to take up more time so I can finish the chapters. Love it!

The houses are very cute!! Reading makes me happy and I work a little harder to get done so that I can read. I also enjoy crocheting and I am teaching myself to knit. I also love making headbands and I am working on some new projects too. I also make flower pins and flower arrangement/wreaths. So many things I love to do, now if I could squeeze that all into a day! Not with homeschooling. LOL

Like you I get happy when my days are productive and when the house stays clean which is rare. I love it when I have time to excercise and also when I can read a great book with 0 distractions!

How adorable. I'm impressed.

What do I love? I can't remember, its been so long since I've had time to think about it.

Writing...reading...getting something new for my house. For some reason that last one is a biggie. If I find something cool for my house, even a small something, I will clean my entire home with OCD flair just so set the new thing off right. :)
